Initially, we only wanted to solve our visual design and marketing problems. As entrepreneurs, we wanted to use creativity and technology to scale businesses without the confusing technical and marketing jargon. Our goal was to demystify the technicalities, ensuring every investment in marketing and branding delivered clear, justifiable value while avoiding hidden costs.

Armed with only a simple belief: that great design is human-centered, and it’s about understanding the people behind the brand, their vision and aspirations, and the people they’re talking to, their needs and motivations.

Our very own, a sought-after industry expert with over 18 years of experience, became the cornerstone upon which we built The Dusty Spice. A collective of designers, developers, and storytellers genuinely passionate about the success of creative-driven brands that dare defy the rigidity of the so-called “industry standards”.

Tim is a multidisciplinary Visual Designer with 17+ years of experience in graphic design, branding, marketing (ATL, BTL, TTL & MA), UI/UX, web and mobile app development, creative direction, and packaging. He combines code and visual design to build functional, beautiful tools that enhance human experiences. Tim believes integrity and strong relationships are the foundation of meaningful, lasting work.

A versatile VP of Operations at The Dusty Spice, Carol is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with vast intellectual property law expertise. She brings six years of experience leading large teams in project planning, alongside sharp skills in business development, resource and capacity planning,  risk management, and client management. She enjoys watching films and series with compelling storytelling.

With a wealth of insight into technology, Ben has mastered the art of security, compliance, and infrastructure. He ensures that the client’s goals are reached and the client’s vision is upheld. He also ensures our development team has the necessary technical expertise to handle mission-critical and complex projects. He is the sober balance between the technical and the creative forces; we call him Master Yoda.
